Exclusive Variable Colour Technology allows welders to toggle between natural, cool and warm colour tones in the dark state – for greater contrast and comfort. You select the colour tone that provides the most comfort and best contrast for your eyes.

New TAP Functionality for Seamless Switching

Speedglas TAP Technology gives welders the ability to switch between welding, cutting and grinding modes by tapping the outside of the welding helmet. This allows welders to switch between lens settings while keeping their welding helmet in the safe down position, and their face and eye protection in place.

Ergonomic Head Harness

The G5-03 Pro head harness is fully adjustable, for a custom fit. Designed for all-day use, the headgear distributes weight perfectly, while avoiding pressure points and sensitive areas. An extra-large back pad on the rear of the harness provides additional comfort.

Weld, Cut, Grind & Tack

Suitable for a variety of welding applications, and optimised for heavy-duty welding, the G5-03 VC lens features a light shade of 3 and dark shades 5, 8-14. Welders can easily switch between welding, cutting and grind modes using new Speedglas TAP technology.

Bluetooth Connection

Welding lens settings can be controlled from your smartphone via the 3M Connected Equipment App. Program pre-set memory modes, switch between Variable Colour tones and welding shades, all from the palm of your hand.

Industry-Leading Arc Detection and Switching

Capable of detecting an arc down to 1 amp, the G5-03 VC lens has powerful photo sensors and reliable switching from light to dark (just 0.1 ms). Auto-On technology ensures your welding helmet is immediately ready to weld; programmed to your last used welding settings.

Speedglas Task Light

For welders working in low-light environments, an optional battery-powered task light is available. Casting a wide light on your workpiece, the task light has configurable intensity and even light distribution.

Configurable Head & Neck Protection

For welders that require extra coverage for heavy-duty welding environments, the G5-03 VC Pro is compatible with a range of additional head and neck covers. Choose from fabric or leather, to protect against sparks and splatter.

AS/NZ Standards Compliant

Compliant with Australian & New Zealand Standard AS/NZS1337.1 (high impact face protection) & AS/NZS1338.1 (eye protection).

The warranty excludes failure resulting from improper use or modification of the ADL and factors beyond the control of AWS.
